Philosophy dropout and self-proclaimed synthesist. Handle with care.

A new track, this time inspired by space exploration games. The vastness and relative emptiness of space suggests a slower, longer, more ambient piece than usual, with greater emphasis on sound, rather than melody. There is probably some Jean Michel Jarre influence there, as well.

I think it might be time to update the album art for that second album i've been making on and off for a decade.

People hurt my feelings, but if stop them, they will get angry and hurt them even more. What do?

Simon experiences road rage: "*sigh* I don't like you. I don't like you either. *sigh* And neither you."

@joshmillard
"Can't do evil" is a much more reliable proposition than "don't do evil" or "won't do evil".

"This is going to my microblog tomorrow... Unless i forget or can't find the right words."

"Your appreciation is appreciated."

That feeling, when you expect someone to commit a hideous crime, been waiting for it for who knows how long, and they just keep not doing that, because they are, secretly, genuinely nice, decent people, must be excruciating.

"The state of my physical shape is well-known to me. After all, i'm wearing it."

An exercise in ethics:

A band of raiders is repeatedly attacking a nearby peaceful village, causing destruction and suffering.

Resolve the situation without hurting anyone.

Stealing from the rich is harder than it sounds; They most certainly didn't become rich by being easy to steal from.

Sometimes, the only way to fix things, is to allow all hell to break loose.

Here comes the iron man // Doing everything a lump of iron can // Hanging over your head // Filling you with existential dread [Guitar solo]

Congratulations, Internet. You have successfully defeated one bad law proposition. Hope you're prepared to repeat the feat every other year or so, because.

"I don't get it, Simon, how can you get through this utter nonsense, day in day out, without getting hammered?" — "I've been doing this for decades. It worked fine. Why should i change anything?"

"Why won't you like us? See, we hate ourselves as much as you do!"

Sometimes, you get so tired of everyone hating you, that you start wondering: "Am I actually the bad guy here?" Then you remember that the other guy has "murder you, your entire family, and your little dog too" on their to-do list, and everything goes back to normal.

My desire to be helpful is in conflict with my desire to stay sane.

"Political left vs. political right" is a boring, superficial and unproductive distinction. I prefer to think in categories of "political leanings grounded in reality vs. political leanings grounded in ideology".

"I'm curious. How do you envision a compromise with those, who find your very existence offensive?"
